From the Field

A Canadian Huntress Production

Unfiltered conversations, real life, and stories from the field, whatever that field looks like.

From the Field™ is a women-led hunting and fishing media series built on real experience in the field across Canada.
Filmed primarily in Ontario, with plans to expand nationwide, it captures time in the field through upland hunts, waterfowl weekends, and the quieter moments that shape women who live this lifestyle.

Alongside the video side, From the Field™ includes podcast and video episodes with long-form conversations from across the outdoor community. These are real conversations around experience, resilience, leadership, and what you learn from time spent outside.

Episodes are released as the season unfolds, with content captured in the field, at women’s events, and through everyday life including homesteading, fishing, hunting, and preparing wild game or homegrown food.

At its core, this is about showing the real presence of women in the Canadian hunting community as it actually is.

In November 2025, fourteen women gathered near Petrolia, Ontario for a hands on upland pheasant hunt organized by Canadian Huntress Pro Staff Mandy Smith. For many, it was their first time working behind bird dogs and learning how to move safely through upland cover.

The day balanced learning, laughter, and time in the field, breaking mid-day for lunch before heading back out. It wrapped with a full field-to-table pheasant clean, showing the process start to finish.

Goose Camp 2024

In October 2024, women gathered in Ontario for a Canadian Huntress waterfowl weekend focused on geese, learning, and time in the field. New hunters and experienced ones learning side by side, building confidence with every morning in the blind.

Stay True Outdoors filmed the weekend and captured it the way it happened.
